Jennie

Douglas Preston’s book “Jennie: A Novel” Dr. Hugo Archibald of the Boston Museum of Natural History comes upon an orphaned infant chimpanzee while conducting research in West Africa. As a sort of scientific experiment, Archibald chooses to bring the monkey, whom he names Jennie, back to Boston and nurture her alongside his own two little children. Everyone Jennie meets is enthralled with her.
