Aristophanes’ comedy “Lysistrata” tells the story of a woman who plans to avoid a war by refusing to have sex. In “The Birds,” an Athenian tricks birds into constructing a city in the sky, upsetting the natural order. “Clouds” is a sarcastic indictment of the morality and education of the Sophists.
