About this book

An accident during filming in the Canadian Rockies opens this memoir of outdoor adventure and survival. A fast descent ends in a collision with a cameraman's sledge, prompting the narrator to recall earlier emergencies around the world. Physical risk, trust between colleagues and the importance of paying attention to instinct shape the opening account.
