Queen Sized is another quick Jessa Kane novella, this time built around the body-positive trope of a confident curvy woman finally getting written by an author who lets her stay confident through the romance. The man is, predictably for Kane, intense and protective and not interested in anyone else.
The book is short. The romance moves fast. There isn’t much subplot, and the third-act conflict resolves quickly.
Kane’s fans tend to read her for the heat and the focused obsession of the male lead, and Queen Sized delivers both. New readers should be aware that the books in her catalog tend to be similar in shape, which is either a feature or a limitation depending on your taste.
Fans of Sierra Simone or Aspen Hadley will find a reading experience close to this one.
