Matteo Bianchi and Akira Wright, who are incredibly in love but deal with difficult situations, are the main characters of the story. Though he isn't sure if they are meant to be together in this lifetime, Matteo believes in fate and considers Akira to be his soulmate.
Akira, on the other hand, is devoted to her husband but battles her affections for Matteo. Even though they have a close relationship, Matteo eventually goes away, and Akira lets him. This novel is an engrossing investigation of fate, love, and the decisions we make.
