The second book in the Road to Blissville series is “Someone to Call My Own” by Aimee Nicole Walker. Despite having very different origins, clairvoyant Emory Jackson and former black operations specialist Jonathan Silver are drawn to each other in this engrossing story. Emory, who lost his marriage five years ago, and Jon, who recently lost his twin brother, are two men who are burdened with sadness.
Sparks ignite when their common acquaintances introduce them, showcasing an indisputable bond and a feeling of acceptance that neither man can resist. But will they be able to move past their mistakes and straighten their edges to form something cohesive and lovely? Love, grief, and the prospect of redemption are among the themes that are explored in the novel.
It can be read as a stand-alone book even though it is a part of a series. Note that this book is meant for adults eighteen years of age and up and contains sexually explicit content.
