The Covenant of Water

It was an enchanting book of Abraham Verghese, The Covenant of Water, an essay in5 novella. The events to storyline are based from 1900 to 1977 in Kerala situated in the Malabar coast of India. The plot is set in three generations of a family plagued by a unique curse: every generation in this part of the world there must always be someone who dies by drowning—and drowning is entirely feasible in a state like Kerala where water is everywhere around.
