About this book
An opening note says the Pentateuch was first translated from Hebrew to English by William Tyndale, published in 1530. The note adds that the edition has the same wording, but modernized spelling. The note says that words found in {[Braquets]} are variants from either Coverdale 1535 or Matthew's Bible 1537.
The contents list names, among others, The First Book of Moses, called Genesis, The Prologue from the Cologne quarto 1525 and The Acts of the Apostles. The text says Abraham hearkened unto Ephron and weighed him the silver, even four hundred silver sicles of current money among merchants. The text says Abraham buried Sara his wife in the double cave of the field that lieth before Mamre. The text says that in faith Abraham offered up Isaac, when he was tempted.
