The Girl with Seven Names Story Book PDF download completely free from here or read it online right now. Hyeonseo Lee’s memoir, “The Girl with Seven Names: A North Korean Defector’s Story,” is a captivating tale of courage and survival. Born and raised in North Korea, Lee lived under the harsh rule of the communist regime. Her proximity to the Chinese border offered glimpses of life outside her homeland. The devastating famine of the 1990s led her to question the regime’s propaganda. At the tender age of 17, she made the daring decision to flee North Korea, unaware that it would take 12 years to reunite with her family. The book is a powerful tribute to her bravery and determination.

Lee Hyeon-seo

Lee crossed the frozen Yalu River out of North Korea at seventeen, meaning to visit relatives in China for a few days, and could not go back.
