About this book
Brad Stevens' fascinating dystopian nightmare "The Hunt" takes place in Great Britain in the year 2068. Women are not allowed to vote or get an abortion in this authoritarian society. In response to a terrorist attempt by a feminist group, the government established The Hunt, a weekly competition. Ten randomly chosen women are hunted by 10 male Hunters through an abandoned London neighborhood.
Mara Gorki, a well-known crime novelist who is attempting to conceal her lesbian relationship, is one of them. The thought of losing gets too horrifying as she steps into the competition. In this terrifying story of survival and rebellion, Stevens skillfully combines suspense, intrigue, and personal struggle.
