About this book
The Life and Teaching of Karl Marx lists in its contents, among others, The Significance of Marx, The Work of Hegel, and Friendship with Friedrich Engels. The text says a science of human intellectual processes was based on three original laws of thought, among them the Principle of Identity, which runs as follows: A = A, i.e., each thing, each being, is like itself. The text names a third principle, the Principle of the Excluded Middle: a thing is either A or non-A; there is no middle term.
The text says the declaration of principles is entirely the work of Marx. The text speaks of a conference in London from the 25th to the 28th of September, and says this conference and meeting resulted in the formation of the International Working Men's Association. The text says that thousands upon thousands of hand and brain workers engage in production in economic undertakings upon a single and uniform plan, with the aid of productive implements which can only be used in common.
