This volume in The Makers of Canada series draws on Narcisse-Eutrope Dionne (1848-1917), the Quebec historian, bibliographer, and librarian who chronicled the figures of New France. Dionne wrote lives of Champlain and Cartier and built the bibliography of early Quebec.
