About this book
The Seven Ages of Man is a book by Ralph Bergengren. The contents list names chapters called, among others, Baby, Baby, To be a Boy, On Meeting the Beloved, and This is a Father. The chapter headed Baby, Baby says that in meeting a baby, one should behave as much as possible like a baby one's self.
The text mentions the honest effort of Miss May Sinclair, whom the writer greatly respects as an adult, to see Mr. Olivier through the eyes of his baby daughter Mary. The text says Mr. Todd becomes engaged, and after a decent interval becomes a husband, and after another decent interval a father. The text says man is a conventional being, and perhaps his most astonishing convention is a funeral.
