About this book

Tim Harford introduces economic ideas through familiar transactions, from buying coffee to shopping in a supermarket. He examines how prices, incentives and information shape choices, and how the work of many strangers makes ordinary goods available. The discussion expands from everyday markets to questions about traffic, poverty, globalization and the differences between national economies.
