Usury: A Scriptural, Ethical and Economic View is by Calvin Elliott and carries a 1902 copyright. The contents list chapters titled "Definition", "The Law by Moses", "David and Solomon", "Financial Reform by Nehemiah", "Teachings of the Master", "Church history" and "Calvin's letter on usury".
In one passage Elliott numbers his points about Hebrew law: there was one law for all, the stranger included, with Numbers 15:15, 16 quoted, and the laws aimed at fairness between people and protection of the weak. In another he writes of old and ruined people who spent their lives in the slavery of debt, and advises the young to avoid it. A later passage names the compact of William and Mary with usurers in 1694 and says the ancient laws forbidding usury should be placed upon the statute books and enforced.
