About this book
Wee Wifie is a book by Rosa Nouchette Carey. The preface says the story has been carefully revised and that, though the characters and the salient points of the plot have been left untouched, several fresh chapters have been added to assist in the more thorough development of the story. The contents list, among others, entries headed Prologue, The Wanderer, The Blind Vicar of Sandycliffe and Under the Old Walnut-Tree, among others.
A woman named Nea asks her father to come with her, saying that Maurice is dying and that he says he can not die until he has forgiveness. Mr. Huntingdon, in the same scene, takes some gold from his pocket and tells Stephen to give it to the woman and send her away. A character named Florence Trafford says that at home they call her Fluff.
