Winterkill

The third novel in C.J. Box’s Joe Pickett series is titled “Winterkill.” Joe Pickett, a game warden in Wyoming, finds himself pursuing an escapee in the middle of a snowstorm. The mother of his foster daughter is brought to town by a group of anti-government survivalists, who then abduct the girl from school and bring her to the survivalist camp. The novel addresses issues of justice, family, and survival while taking place in Wyoming’s untamed mountains.
