13 Number Bari is one of Sri Swapan Kumar’s pulp Bengali thrillers. Swapan Kumar wrote a great many cheap, fast paperback thrillers in the sixties and seventies, and they have a real cult readership today, partly for the books themselves and partly for the glorious pulp covers they came with.

If you have a taste for old style Bengali pulp, Swapan Kumar’s books are a small genre of their own.
