Abar Jokher Dhon

Abar Jokher Dhon is Hemendra Kumar Roy’s adventure novel, a sequel to his famous Jokher Dhon. Hemendra Kumar Roy was one of the great Bengali adventure writers of the early twentieth century, and his books shaped what later writers like Bibhutibhushan and Sasthipada Chattopadhyay would build on.

Bengali children of several generations have grown up on these books. Reading them now you can feel where the whole tradition of Bengali adventure fiction comes from.
