Rabindranath Ekhane Kokhono Khete Asenni is the novel that put Mohammad Nazim Uddin on the map of contemporary Bengali crime fiction. The title, which translates roughly as Rabindranath has never eaten here, is a play on a sign supposedly hung by a small Calcutta restaurant.
The book is fast, well plotted, and reads more like an international thriller in Bangla than like older Bengali crime. Highly recommended for thriller readers.
