Uttaradhikar

Uttaradhikar is the first novel of Samaresh Majumdar’s Animesh series, the same character whose Naxalite years are followed in Kalbela. This earlier book shows where Animesh comes from, his small town, his family, his school years before Calcutta.

If you have read Kalbela and felt close to Animesh, this is the book that introduces him. It can also be read on its own as a portrait of growing up in mid century Bengal.
