Alyssa Rose Ivy finished law school and a library science master's before she turned to fiction, and has since published more than fifty novels across young adult, new adult and paranormal romance. Raised near New York, she went to college in New Orleans and stayed attached to the South. That city gave her The Crescent Chronicles, the run of books she is best known for, in which a student named Allie is drawn into a hidden order of winged shape-shifters called Pterons; Focus carries that story on. Beckoning Light, from 2011, was her first published novel and belongs to the young adult Afterglow Trilogy. Veer sits among her contemporary Clayton Falls romances, and Winter's Wolf begins A Court of Shifters Chronicles.
