Amit Tayal is an illustrator whose work includes children's fiction, educational publishing, and animation. Jewel of the Galaxy pairs his pictures with a story by Thomas Kingsley Troupe in the Star Belchers science-fiction series. Stone Arch Books introduced this fourth adventure during 2017, following young travelers aboard the repaired spaceship Judy. A treasure map sends the crew through familiar and new parts of their galaxy, but the reward they find does not match their expectations. Tayal's role is visual rather than authorial: his illustrations establish the spacecraft, alien settings, comic reactions, and action that support Troupe's text at the middle-grade level. The 128-page print edition was followed by a Capstone digital edition. Tayal has illustrated other Star Belchers titles, including A Spaceship Named Judy, Robot Ruckus, and Carma Comes Home, giving the series a consistent visual identity across the crew's journey. His contribution connects character design and world-building to the books' accessible, fast-moving format.
