Amy Clipston
Amy Clipston has held a day job with the City of Charlotte throughout a writing career whose first book, A Gift of Grace, appeared in 2009 and now runs past a million copies sold. Most of it is Amish romance set around Lancaster County. The Forgotten Recipe (2015) opens the Amish Heirloom series with Veronica Fisher, who loses her fiancé in a workplace accident and starts baking from recipes found in her mother's hope chest. A Seat by the Hearth (2018) is the third Amish Homestead novel. An Amish Homecoming, out the same year, is a four-story collection in which her No Place Like Home sits beside work by Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller and Shelley Shepard Gray. Two of her books step outside that world: Destination Unknown (2014), a young adult novel and the second Roadside Assistance book, about a pressured student and the tutor her family disapproves of, and The View from Coral Cove (2022), which begins a contemporary series on the North Carolina coast. Clipston grew up in New Jersey, studied communications at Virginia Wesleyan, and donated a kidney in 2011.
