Amy Cross is British, writes horror almost exclusively, and works at a rate that runs past three hundred novels by the count kept on her own site. She states plainly that no one else has produced so much as a line under the name, and that no artificial intelligence goes into either her prose or her cover art. Persona, from 2016, belongs to her Island sequence; The Purchase and The Music Man both appeared in 2019; The House We Haunted and Other Stories gathers short fiction around its title piece. Asylum, The Farm and the Ghosts of Crowford books are among her better known work.
