📚 1 Book ✍️ Contemporary Literary 📄 PDF & EPUB

Andrew Porter writes fiction about families, memory, and the uneasy surfaces of ordinary life, and teaches the craft as an American professor. The Theory of Light and Matter gathers ten stories set across places including Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and California. The University of Georgia Press published the collection in its Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction series after Porter won the prize. Vintage later issued it in the Vintage Contemporaries series. Porter studied at the Iowa Writers' Workshop and teaches creative writing at Trinity University in San Antonio. He is also the author of the novel In Between Days and the story collections The Disappeared and The Imagined Life. His restrained prose gives small decisions and remembered moments room to reveal larger emotional consequences.
