Andrew Wareham developed a career in British historical fiction grounded in economic history, military institutions, and changing social orders. Born in Hampshire, he completed a degree that included economic history, taught for a decade, and then spent ten years working with the police force in Papua New Guinea. After later contract work overseas, he established a large independent bibliography built around multi-volume narratives.
