Anne Elizabeth Moore

Anne Elizabeth Moore is a cultural critic, journalist, humorist, and artist working across prose, comics, audio, and visual forms. Body Horror: Capitalism, Fear, Misogyny, Jokes connects labor, medicine, consumer culture, gender, and physical autonomy through research, memoir, and humor. Moore's books also include Gentrifier, Unmarketable, and Cambodian Grrrl. She co-published Punk Planet, founded The Best American Comics, and later led the Chicago Reader. Her honors include two Fulbright scholarships and a National Endowment for the Arts Media Arts Award. Feminist Press issued an expanded edition of Body Horror in 2023.
