Anya Wylde writes comic Regency romance built around unconventional protagonists, misunderstandings and lively social manoeuvring. Penelope introduced the Fairweather Sisters sequence in 2013, following its outspoken title character into an unexpectedly complicated courtship. Seeking Philbert Woodbead continued the sequence with Celine Fairweather’s search for an elusive poet and the disruptions caused by her travelling companion. Edition and series records consistently place the novels first and second in the Fairweather Sisters order. Wylde later retitled them A Duke Confounded and When the Rogue Came Calling within the Mayhem and Petticoats sequence, so the earlier names identify the original releases rather than unrelated works.
