Arun Gupta is a software technologist, community builder, and technical author whose work has focused on Java, open source, and practical programming education. Minecraft Modding with Forge, co-written with his son Aditya Gupta and published by O'Reilly Media in 2015, introduces beginners to creating Java-based modifications for Minecraft. The book starts with Java, Eclipse, and Forge setup, then develops projects involving blocks, items, entities, movement, commands, recipes, and textures. Later chapters explain how to package and share a completed mod, while appendices provide game concepts and Eclipse shortcuts. Gupta also founded a United States chapter of Devoxx4Kids, connecting the book's parent-and-child approach with his broader interest in technology education.
