Barbara Kratiuk

Barbara Kratiuk studies international relations, security, regional identity, and strategic change across the Indo-Pacific. She works in the University of Warsaw Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, where her research examines Asian regionalism and foreign policy. Kratiuk co-edited the Handbook of Indo-Pacific Studies with Jeroen J. J. Van den Bosch, Aleksandra Jaskólska, and Yoichiro Sato. Routledge published the volume in 2023 as a multidisciplinary guide to politics, economics, trade, maritime governance, and military competition across the region. Contributors consider major powers, the European Union, and smaller states, giving the collection a comparative frame. Kratiuk has also organized academic discussion of the Indo-Pacific at Warsaw and written about regional architecture. Her editorial work connects specialists from countries while documenting the Indo-Pacific as an increasingly important framework for contemporary international relations.
