Beatrix Hollow writes monster romance and horror-flavoured fiction, and Run & Hide opened her Myths & Monsters series in 2021. Its narrator wants nothing to do with the ghosts and hauntings that cling to her family name, so she takes to the road to camp her way across the country. The trip lands her in West Virginia, where a cryptid the locals pass around as a campfire story proves real, and where hunters after the creature are willing to use people as bait. Hollow studied psychology and creative writing, is working towards an MFA, and has spent roughly a decade in East Texas. She publishes contemporary slasher romance under a second name, Lux Oleander.
