Bobbi Holmes writes paranormal mystery fiction and also publishes under the pen name Anna J. McIntyre; both names belong to Bobbi Ann Johnson Holmes. The Ghost and the Medium is the thirtieth installment in her Haunting Danielle series. Robeth Publishing released the book in May 2022, returning to Marlow House as Danielle and Walt reopen it as a bed and breakfast. One of their first guests is Danielle’s former mother-in-law, who arrives with a prominent medium. Danielle doubts his claims, creating a mystery about what the visitor understands and what the household’s own experience of ghosts can establish. Holmes builds the volume within a long sequence, so recurring relationships and the history of Marlow House remain important alongside the individual plot. Holmes uses Bobbi Holmes for the family-friendly paranormal mysteries and Anna J. McIntyre for other fiction. Anna J. McIntyre is therefore an alternate byline, not a second collaborator on this work.
