Beth Dolgner

Beth Dolgner writes paranormal cozy mysteries built around unusual communities, found family, and amateur investigators starting over. Homicide at the Haunted House opens her Nightmare, Arizona series with Olivia Kendrick arriving in an old mining town after divorce and financial trouble. Dolgner's official edition page identifies the novel as series book one and places Olivia at a year-round haunted attraction where a local man's body appears at the entrance. Goodreads independently records the same author, title, 2023 publication, and Nightmare, Arizona position. The setting lets Dolgner blend a conventional investigation with residents whose supernatural identities are more than stage effects. Olivia must clear suspicion, understand her new coworkers, and decide whether the abrasive Damien Shackleford is ally or obstacle. Homicide at the Haunted House establishes the town's recurring cast and lighthearted tone while giving Olivia a practical reason to remain among people who are hiding extraordinary lives.
