Bodie Thoene develops historical novels in partnership with her husband, Brock Thoene. The Gathering Storm Book begins the Zion Diaries sequence, following Loralei Kepler’s flight from dictatorship and her care for displaced children as the story moves between the 1930s and 1940. Second Touch is the second A.D. Chronicles novel, set in first-century Jerusalem and organized around people seeking healing and belonging. Tyndale issued Second Touch in 2005, while The Gathering Storm appeared in 2010. Across both sequences, the Thoenes combine researched settings with multiple viewpoints and faith-centered questions. Bodie develops the narrative, and Brock’s work as researcher and story-line consultant supplies much of their historical framework.
