Brady Hammes
Brady Hammes follows three grown siblings whose yearly promises become difficult to postpone in The Resolutions. Gavin pursues acting, Samantha dances professionally in Russia, and Jonah works with elephants in Gabon. Their careers have taken them far from Chicago and from the daily closeness they once shared. During a holiday reunion, each chooses a personal resolution and accepts the others' help in keeping it. The agreement links separate lives while revealing how ambition can hide uncertainty. Ballantine Books released Hammes's fiction debut in 2020. His earlier career included documentary film editing on sports and nature projects. The Resolutions remains centered on family rather than filmmaking, asking what siblings owe one another when affection survives but ordinary knowledge has faded. A promise becomes meaningful only when its maker allows accountability, and every attempt at change tests whether distance has weakened the family's capacity to listen.
