C. E. Montague

C. E. Montague (1867-1928) was a British journalist and author long associated with the Manchester Guardian. Already middle-aged when the First World War began, he enlisted and served at the front, and his postwar writing, especially Disenchantment, shaped how a generation remembered the conflict.
