Cameron Haley
Cameron Haley is the fiction name used by Greg Benage for urban fantasy built around organized power, magical rules, and divided loyalties. Mob Rules, released by Luna in 2010, introduced the Underworld Cycle and marked Haley’s novel debut. Its central character works within a criminal hierarchy in a supernatural version of Los Angeles, where professional obligations collide with personal judgment. The book blends hard-edged urban fantasy, structured magic, and the pressures of belonging to a dangerous organization. The publisher acquired a second Underworld Cycle volume, Skeleton Crew, extending the setting and recurring cast. Haley’s approach treats magic as part of a functioning social order instead of a detached wonder, which gives the series its procedural tension. Mob Rules is consequently best understood as the first installment of a planned sequence and as the beginning of Benage’s work under the Cameron Haley identity, not as an unrelated standalone title.
