Camille Baker

Camille Baker writes contemporary romance about friendship, family, work, and the uncertainty of finding a lasting partner. The Moment We Met follows Tiwanda Harris as her thirtieth birthday brings several competing possibilities into focus. She is developing a food business, learning more about her late mother through a journal, and testing a dating app that promises four potential matches, including a soul mate. Baker presents the novel as a standalone set in the same world as her debut, Have We Met?, where Tiwanda first appeared through another character’s perspective. Lake Union Publishing released the book in 2022. Baker’s own path combines finance, American Sign Language, and storytelling: she studied finance at Ohio State, completed an interpreter training program in San Antonio, and works as an interpreter in South Chicago. That experience helps ground Tiwanda’s romantic choices in practical questions about ambition, grief, family responsibilities, and the limited time available for building both a company and a relationship.
