Caridad Piñeiro
Caridad Piñeiro is a Cuban American novelist whose large bibliography spans romantic suspense, paranormal fiction, and contemporary romance. Sins of the Flesh, issued by Grand Central’s Forever imprint in 2009, introduced the Sin Hunters sequence. The novel follows musician Caterina Shaw after an experimental gene treatment gives her unusual abilities and leaves her pursued by the people responsible. Mick Carrera is hired to find her, but his investigation exposes a wider medical conspiracy. Piñeiro continued the connected world through Stronger Than Sin, The Lost, and The Claimed, with the Carrera family and the New Jersey shore linking the books. Her other long-running work includes The Calling vampire stories and later security and suspense series. Trained as a lawyer and long employed in intellectual-property practice, Piñeiro has sustained writing alongside another profession. Her fiction frequently combines investigative momentum with questions of family protection, scientific power, and trust under pressure.
