Carsen Taite
A Dallas criminal defence attorney publishes lesbian romance under the name Carsen Taite, and the day job shows on the page. Her novels run on lawyers, prosecutors, bounty hunters and investigators, and readers come to her for procedure that holds up. Her first book was truelesbianlove.com in 2008, which took a Lavender Certificate from the Alice B. Readers; It Should Be a Crime followed in 2009 and reached the Lambda Literary Award final list. A More Perfect Union, issued by Bold Strokes Books in December 2017, pairs Rook Daniels, a political fixer paid to make scandals go away, with Major Zoey Granger, whose military career is what stands to be lost. Hollis Elizabeth reads the audiobook. Taite lives near White Rock Lake in Dallas with her wife, the artist Lainey Parker.
