Cath Crowley
Cath Crowley is an Australian novelist known for contemporary stories about friendship, creativity, and the pressures surrounding adolescence. Take Three Girls, written with Simmone Howell and Fiona Wood, appeared through Pan Australia in 2017. Ady, Kate, and Clem come from different social groups, meet through a school wellness program, and confront an anonymous online page targeting classmates. Each coauthor developed one of the three central voices, giving the book a deliberately collaborative structure. The Australian edition won the 2018 Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Award for Older Readers. A later United States edition appeared through Union Square in 2021. Crowley’s contribution sits naturally beside her other character-focused novels, while Howell and Wood bring their own established work in Australian young-reader fiction. Take Three Girls is therefore a shared novel by three credited writers, not a Cath Crowley title with uncredited collaborators, and its three viewpoints are central to how the story works.
