Chandler McGrew
Chandler McGrew writes supernatural suspense that brings ordinary people into conflicts where spiritual claims and physical events become difficult to separate. The Remnant joined McGrew's bibliography in 2012 alongside A Certain Slant of Light, Cold Heart, Night Terror, The Darkening, In Shadows, and Crossroads. Its premise announces the return of angels and the disorder that follows, placing theological imagery inside a contemporary suspense framework. McGrew began writing professionally in his forties, and several of his earlier novels were published by Bantam and Dell. He later expanded into fantasy series including World of Arras, Chronicles of the Land, and Altmage Wars, showing an interest in speculative worlds beyond standalone suspense. The Remnant sits at the intersection of those approaches: it uses a recognizable modern setting but asks readers to accept a supernatural disruption with broad consequences. McGrew's emphasis is less on abstract doctrine than on how characters interpret events that overturn familiar explanations.
