Chandra Blumberg writes warm contemporary romance shaped by family ambitions, food, work, and Midwestern settings. Digging Up Love, her Montlake debut, begins the Taste of Love series. It pairs Alisha Blake, a baker working in her grandfather's rural Illinois restaurant, with Quentin Harris, a paleontologist called in after a dinosaur bone appears in her grandparents' backyard. Blumberg uses the excavation and the attention around it to test how both characters balance personal goals with family expectations. She drafted the novel during the 2020 shutdown and later signed a two-book agreement with Montlake. Digging Up Love appeared in 2022; Stirring Up Love later turns to Alisha's sister Simone and another food-centered relationship. Blumberg's English studies, Chicago-area life, baking interests, and affection for dinosaurs all feed naturally into the debut's distinctive pairing of professions and places.
