Claire Legrand

Before she wrote for a living, Claire Legrand was a librarian in Princeton, New Jersey. Raised in Irving, Texas, she took a BA in English literature and a library science master's at North Texas, after weighing a music degree instead. Lightbringer (2020) closes the Empirium trilogy she opened with Furyborn (2018) and continued in Kingsbane (2019), bringing two queens born a thousand years apart to the end of their linked stories. Her earlier books include The Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls, the Edgar Award nominated Some Kind of Happiness, and Sawkill Girls, which appeared between Furyborn and Kingsbane.
