Cristelle Comby

Cristelle Comby is a Swiss writer of English-language crime and mystery fiction, best known for the Neve and Egan Cases. Red Lies continues that series with private investigators Alexandra Neve and Ashford Egan, partners whose contrasting abilities shape the way they approach deception and evidence. The sequence begins with Russian Dolls and continues through Ruby Heart, Danse Macabre, and later investigations. Comby grew up in a French-speaking part of Switzerland and developed an early interest in British and American detective stories. Her books combine an international outlook with recurring characters, allowing professional trust and personal history to develop across several cases. Red Lies uses the established partnership rather than resetting it for a stand-alone mystery, so the investigation also tests what Neve and Egan have learned about one another. Comby's series writing favours clues, shifting loyalties, and the gradual revision of first impressions as hidden connections become visible.
