D.J. Williams

D.J. Williams brings an international upbringing and television experience to his adventure fiction. Raised in Hong Kong, he has traveled widely and produced or directed hundreds of television episodes. Tyndale House introduced the Beacon Hill series with Hunt for Eden’s Star in 2023, Williams's first book for younger readers. The fantasy follows Jack Reynolds, a teenager in Hong Kong who finds a supernatural artifact while searching for the truth about his sister's death. His pursuit draws him and his friends into a struggle between two clandestine supernatural societies. Williams pairs fast movement and global locations with questions of loyalty, grief, and responsibility as Jack learns that the conflict reaches beyond one object. Hunt for Eden’s Star begins a sequence continued by Secrets of the Highlands and Battle of Lion Rock. That structure allows mysteries surrounding Jack's family, the Beacon, and the hidden world to unfold across linked expeditions rather than being settled in the first volume.
