Dale Jenny

Dale Jenny is a reversed form of the children’s author name Jenny Dale, the byline printed by the publisher. Felix the Fluffy Kitten and Other Kitten Tales collects four animal stories centered on Felix, Nell, Snuggles, and Star. Pan Macmillan published the illustrated collection through Macmillan Children’s Books in 2018 for readers aged five to seven. Each episode gives its kitten a distinct comic problem: Felix sheds fur everywhere, Nell disrupts farm animals, Snuggles prefers dreaming to action, and Star needs to persuade a family that a child can care responsibly for a pet. The collection belongs to Dale’s longer Kitten Tales sequence, whose individual stories began appearing in the late 1990s. Felix the Fluffy Kitten and Other Kitten Tales offers short, approachable narratives in which mischief and affection lead toward responsibility, making the book a compact introduction to a broader group of kitten-centered children’s stories.
