Dan Gemeinhart

Gemeinhart was a school librarian in Washington state for years and writes for the readers he used to hand books to. The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise puts a girl and her father in a converted school bus, driving away from a grief neither of them will name. The Honest Truth sends a boy with cancer up a mountain with his dog. The Midnight Children and the rest keep the same bargain: children in his books are allowed to be in real trouble.
