The Christmas Maze follows Matthew, a boy haunted by his sister Lucy’s disappearance in 1947 Australia. Remembering a family story about a maze where wrongs can be reversed, he begins a difficult journey in the hope of bringing her home. IFWG Publishing International released The Christmas Maze: Where Hope Is Found in 2022, and the novel entered a youth-fiction category of the Aurealis Awards. The story combines historical setting with a supernatural quest, asking its young protagonist to move through fear, guilt, and difficult decisions. Fahey’s background in drama helps explain the novel’s emphasis on trials, encounters, and forward-moving scenes.
